There is something about Easter that makes everyone want to dress just a little but more sophisticated, including the guys. While you don’t necessarily have to go full out preppy like you are heading to a Polo match (unless you want to!) there are some items you can wear that will have you looking rather dapper for when the Easter bunny comes to visit your home.
One of these easiest pieces to wear in the Easter wardrobe is a simple neutral colored sweater. A soft camel color looks great with a pair of white or khaki chinos, along with a white button down underneath, showing the collar. This style is polished but not too over the top where you are uncomfortable all day wearing it. A lovely light blue cotton sweater is also ideal for guys who like to wear some dark denim on bottom with a pair of boating shoes to match.
Classic Fit Button Down
When you are looking for the right button down shirt for Easter, try and keep the color very light. Stick with something in the pastel family like a light green, pink or lavender. All of these colors reek of springtime Easter fun and work well for daytime wear. You don’t have to go all out and sport a suit or even wear dress pants, unless you are attending something really fancy where dress attire is required. In that case, opt for a pair of classic gray pinstripe dress pants for those fancy adventures, but if you are planning for a more relaxed brunch, keep the pants in a light neutral. Straight leg chinos are ideal for any pastel colored shirt but make sure to wear a tan or brown leather shoe.
Polos always have a way of creating a very preppy, put together look for a guy and we think that with Easter here, a polo will do rather nicely. A solid polo looks great with some straight leg shorts and leather sandals for the outdoor, casual style but a polo can also be dressy when you wear it with khakis and dress shoes. We love wearing a polo with a dress vest over it and a lightweight cotton scarf around the neck. Instantly stylish, comfortable and perfect for your Easter celebration.
